The Knoydart Peninsula

The Knoydart is reputed to be Britains last true wilderness.

No roads run in there are no dwellings, apart from the small village of Inverie which is accessable by boat only... or ... a 20 mile hike on foot.

With some careful planning and a lesson or two in First Aid and Map reading, could 2010 be the year of the Knoydart.......

We hope so.

Hubba Hubba HP.

I bought myself a Hubba Hubba HP from MSR.

It is a truly amazing tent.

Packs small, is light, has 2 doors, and is very very warm indeed.

I did alot of research around this and might suggest it is the best 1/2 man tent around for the price.

Get one.

Mont Bell.

I was recently in Colorado and stumbled across Mont Bell.

They make some of the best gear i have seen.

Considered, usable, lightweight and most of all, affordable.

You can order online, and there is a store in Switzerland if you are there.

Cader Idris.

First outing was taking on Cadair Idris.

The highlight was supping sherry after taming a pretty nasty scree slope.

Onward and upward.
